In 2018, the St. Pierre et Miquelon and Newfoundland & Labrador link saw the addition of two new ferries. Each has the ability to carry 15 vehicles from Fortune, NL to St. Pierre et Miquelon. While this is an exciting new service that makes visiting the islands a lot more convenient, customers should know that your auto insurance policy only covers you while you’re travelling in Canada or the United States.
